Privacy Policy

RankApp (“the App”) is developed and operated by Codisty (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. By using RankApp you agree to this policy.

In short: RankApp has no account system and no servers of our own. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. The data you create in the App stays on your device and, if you enable it, in your private Apple iCloud.

1. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device (and, if you enable iCloud, in your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy):

Keywords you track
Rank, rating, review, and keyword history the App gathers over time
Your in‑app settings and preferences

We have no access to this data. You can delete it at any time by removing the App and/or managing your iCloud storage in iOS Settings.

3. Publicly available App Store data

To show ranks, ratings, reviews, charts, and keyword data, the App requests publicly available information directly from Apple’s iTunes Search API and RSS feeds. These requests are sent from your device to Apple. We do not operate an intermediary server and do not log these requests.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

RankApp Premium subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment card details. Apple manages billing and may provide us with non‑identifying, aggregate purchase and subscription information through App Store reporting. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Notifications

Rank‑movement, review, version, and price alerts, and the daily reminder, are local notifications generated on your device. We do not operate push servers and do not send your data anywhere to deliver them.

6. Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch app, your tracked‑app list is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity, device‑to‑device. This data is not sent to us.

7. Children

RankApp is a productivity tool intended for developers and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data security and retention

Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud, its security is protected by Apple’s platform safeguards and your device passcode/Apple ID. We retain no personal data because we do not collect any.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, within the App or on our website.
