Pix (“Pix”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is developed and operated by Codisty. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Pix is an unofficial, third‑party client for Instagram for Apple Watch and iPhone. Pix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Summary
Pix is designed to keep your data on your device. When you log in, your Instagram session is stored securely on your device and is used only to communicate directly between your device and Instagram. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process your Instagram credentials, messages, or content.
Information the App accesses
- Instagram login session. To use Pix you log in to Instagram (on your iPhone using Instagram’s own web login, or on your Apple Watch). Pix stores the resulting session token and associated cookies in your device’s secure storage (Keychain / app sandbox) so you stay signed in. Your password is sent only to Instagram during login and is never stored by Pix or transmitted to Codisty.
- Instagram content. The feeds, stories, profiles, comments, likes, direct messages, and activity you view are fetched directly from Instagram to your device in order to display them. This content is not routed through or stored by Codisty.
- Local settings. Preferences such as theme, autoplay, and Ghost Mode are stored locally on your device.
- Subscription status. Your optional Pix+ subscription is processed by Apple. Pix receives only your entitlement status (whether you have an active subscription) from Apple’s StoreKit. We do not receive your name, payment card, or other payment details.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect or store your Instagram username or password on any server.
- We do not run analytics servers that track your usage, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
- We do not have access to your Instagram messages or content — it stays between your device and Instagram.
How your information is used
- To authenticate you with Instagram and keep you signed in.
- To display the Instagram content you request within the App.
- To sync your login from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch (using Apple’s WatchConnectivity), so you can use Pix on your watch.
- To unlock Pix+ premium features based on your Apple subscription entitlement.
Data sharing
- Instagram (Meta). Because Pix is a client for Instagram, your activity interacts with Instagram’s servers and is governed by Instagram’s own terms and privacy policy: https://privacycenter.instagram.com.
- Apple. Subscriptions and in‑app purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
We do not share your information with any other third parties.
Data storage and security
Your Instagram session and settings are stored on your device using Apple’s secure storage. Login and data traffic use encrypted (HTTPS) connections to Instagram. Because your data is stored on your device, its security also depends on your device’s own protections (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID).
Your choices and data deletion
- Log out at any time from Settings in the App. Logging out deletes the stored session from your device.
- Uninstall Pix to remove all locally stored data, including your session and settings.
- To manage or delete data held by Instagram itself, use the Instagram app or https://www.instagram.com.
Children
Pix is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to hold an Instagram account in your country. Do not use Pix if you are under that age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above.
