Pennyplate — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Pennyplate (“the App”) on iPhone and Apple Watch, developed and operated by Codisty (“we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which also applies.

1. Prices are estimates

Grocery prices, totals and savings in the App are estimates based on published US average retail prices (US Bureau of Labor Statistics) and typical supermarket prices, adjusted for the region and store type you choose. Actual prices vary by store, location, brand and date, and your checkout total will differ. Pennyplate is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any store; store names are shown only as examples of store types.

2. Food, allergies and safety

Recipes, nutrition figures and plans are provided for general information. Always check ingredients and labels for allergens and dietary needs, follow safe food handling and cooking temperatures, and use your own judgment. Calorie and protein figures are estimates. The App is not medical or dietary advice.

3. Recipes you save

When you save a recipe from a website, video, social media post or other source, the App stores a copy on your device for your personal, non-commercial use and keeps a link to the source. Recipes and photos you save belong to their creators; respect their rights and terms.
You are responsible for the content you save or enter.

4. Free trial, subscriptions and lifetime purchase

The App is a free download. Using it requires Pennyplate Pro, which starts with a 7-day free trial (an introductory offer on the yearly subscription, available once per Apple Account).
Yearly: US$29.99 per year in the United States (prices vary by country). When the trial ends, the yearly price is charged to your Apple Account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Monthly: US$4.99 per month in the United States, charged at confirmation.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Lifetime: a one-time, non-consumable purchase (US$49.99 in the United States) with no renewals.
Without a trial, subscription or lifetime purchase, the App, its widgets and its Apple Watch app are locked after setup.
Purchases are shared with Family Sharing and can be restored at no cost from the App’s Settings or purchase screen. Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Your data

Your data stays on your devices (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your own backups.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codisty is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App, including price differences, food reactions or other outcomes.
