Parrot Privacy Policy

Parrot (“Parrot”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is developed and operated by Codisty. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Parrot is an unofficial, third‑party client for X (formerly Twitter) for Apple Watch and iPhone. Parrot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.

Summary

Parrot is designed to keep your data on your device. When you log in, your X session is stored securely on your device and is used only to communicate directly between your device and X. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process your X credentials, messages, or content.

Information the App accesses

X login session. To use Parrot you log in to X (on your iPhone using X’s own web login). Parrot stores the resulting session cookies (such as your authentication token) in your device’s secure storage (app sandbox) so you stay signed in. Your password is sent only to X during login and is never stored by Parrot or transmitted to Codisty.
X content. The timeline, profiles, trends, mentions, and direct messages you view are fetched directly from X to your device in order to display them. This content is not routed through or stored by Codisty.
Local settings. Preferences such as your theme choice are stored locally on your device.
Subscription status. Your optional Parrot Premium subscription is processed by Apple. Parrot receives only your entitlement status (whether you have an active subscription) from Apple’s StoreKit. We do not receive your name, payment card, or other payment details.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect or store your X username or password on any server.
We do not run analytics servers that track your usage, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
We do not have access to your X messages or content — it stays between your device and X.

How your information is used

To authenticate you with X and keep you signed in.
To display the X content you request within the App.
To sync your login from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch (using Apple’s WatchConnectivity), so you can use Parrot on your watch.
To unlock Parrot Premium features based on your Apple subscription entitlement.

Data sharing

X (X Corp.). Because Parrot is a client for X, your activity interacts with X’s servers and is governed by X’s own terms and privacy policy: https://x.com/en/privacy.
Apple. Subscriptions and in‑app purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

We do not share your information with any other third parties.

Data storage and security

Your X session and settings are stored on your device using Apple’s secure storage. Login and data traffic use encrypted (HTTPS) connections to X. Because your data is stored on your device, its security also depends on your device’s own protections (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID).

Your choices and data deletion

Log out at any time from the App (on the iPhone or the Apple Watch). Logging out deletes the stored session from your device.
Uninstall Parrot to remove all locally stored data, including your session and settings.
To manage or delete data held by X itself, use the X app or https://x.com.

Children

Parrot is not directed to children under 13, and you must meet X’s minimum age requirement to use an X account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
